WEDNESDAY NIGHT STUDENT BIBLE STUDY, 8:30PM – 10PM WEEKLY
Feb. 8th, we will will be welcoming special guest, Glen Chapman, missionary to the Democratic Republic of Congo for over 25 years. He will be meeting with students to discuss the various possibilities and need for overseas service. He personally works in a variety of aspects of rural ministry, from raising endangered animals, pastoral training, and technical aspects such as audio/visual, aviation, river boats, medical and agriculture. Please plan to come meet Glen and bring friends to hear his story and about how you might be able to serve internationally either on a short-term or long-term basis.
Feb. 15th, in honor of Valentine’s Day, we’ll do an exploration of Love and Marriage.
The following week, we plan to begin a series called, Faith on Film. We’ll view some funny and some dramatic films that explore issues of faith, spirituality, and religion and have some great dialogue/conversation bringing it back to what kind of impact this might have on our own discipleship.
JOIN OUR WALK-A-MILE TEAM TO BENEFIT MUNCIE MISSION
SPRING BREAK MISSION WEEK, MARCH 5-10, 2012
This year we have decided to focus on local needs right here in Delaware County and Indianapolis. On Monday, the 5th, we will spend the day and evening on Retreat preparing ourselves through Bible Study, Worship, Personal Reflection, and Research about the many needs of Delaware County. The rest of the week we will be serving a variety of agencies and ministries during the day, having meals together, and using evenings for student led devotions to reflect on our day. Tuesday evening we will participate in the Friendship Class, which is a class for adults with intellectual/physical disabilities held at Riverside Avenue Baptist Church in Muncie.
Wednesday evening we will be preparing the Weds. Night meal at First Baptist Muncie as a fundraiser for our Ministry. Friday, we will go to Indianapolis and work at The Julian Center, a domestic violence shelter, during the day and spend an evening in Indy. Then we will conclude our week with our participation in a Poverty Simulation hosted by TeamWork for Quality Living in Muncie from 10am – 12:30pm.
Contact Pastor Dave at david@bsuoasis.org or our President/Intern Shala Pugh at smpugh@bsuoasis.org if you are interested in participating in what will be an great week together.

These breakfasts are provided to help students get through exam week without having to worry about breakfast. Have a great, hot, breakfast before, after, or between exams, hang out with friends, study for the next exam, or just veg-out awhile and give your brain a rest. Most breakfasts are cooked at The Oasis, often cooked to order, and some are brought in by church groups who support us like First Baptist Muncie, Riverside Avenue Baptist, or Shawnee Heights Baptist here in Muncie.
